All-America Rose Selections (AARS)

Started in 1940, AARS was the preeminent trialing and awards program for roses in North America for over 70 years. Rose varieties were evaluated over a two-year period on numerous characteristics, including hardiness, flower, and fragrance. In 2016, AARS was superseded by the American Garden Rose Selections (AGRS) award program.
